Case Study: The Bandolins

The Bandolins are a six-piece string band based in Fairfield County, CT. They wanted an "old-timey" website to reflect the music, which is a blend of mostly instrumental traditional old time and fiddle tunes, reminiscent of the Carters and other family bands, as well as bluegrass favorites by the likes of Bill Monroe and Jimmy Martin. Like other music websites, this one features member biographies, a photo gallery, a performce schedule, and MP3 music samples via flash player.

Like other sites we've put together, this one is optimized for search engine ranking and is extremely standards compliant. This makes the graphics-heavy orientation more manageable since we don't have to worry so much about about different browsers behaving differently.
