Martha's Vineyard Online has long been the number one internet resource for Vineyard visitors and residents alike. After 10 years of steady growth, it was time for a major overhaul. The client wanted a robust and powerful administration tool to handle the ever increasing traffic, to track usage metrics, and to make it easy for its staff to add or update content.

We were handed the designer's mockups, and rebuilt everything from the ground up. We completely restructured the application framework with a few things in mind: search engine optimization, usability, and visitor appeal. The back end administration tool is expansive, and helps to speed up day to day management of MVOL's vast content repository.

Now just over a year after launching (at the time of this writing), MVOL.com's visitor traffic has nearly tripled, to over 2 million page views per month! This results in higher visibility, more brand recognition, and most importantly, increased advertising revenue.
